Yes, earlier G0505, now 99483, is used for billing assessment and care planning for patients with cognitive impairment.

During initial annual wellness visit (AWV, Code G0483) and subsequent AWV (G0439), Cognitive Impairment (CI) could be checked as part of the service. And if the provider detects the CI during the AWV, he/she can perform a detailed assessment and care planning and bill as 99483.

Medicare not only revised the payment for these services to $282 but also covers these via telehealth.
